The commission
A CITY ACROSS FIFTEEN FLOORS
Melbourne interpreted through monumental ink drawing
Created for The Ritz-Carlton Melbourne on Spencer Street, this commission brought together fifteen large-scale city illustrations—one for each guest floor of the hotel.
Each work began as a detailed ink drawing and was developed for an architectural scale of approximately 4 × 2.5 metres. The series turns Melbourne’s streets, landmarks and atmosphere into layered visual journeys, giving every floor its own sense of place while maintaining a coherent identity throughout the hotel.

DRAWING FOR ARCHITECTURE
From hand-made linework to immersive interior artwork
Working with Chapman & Bailey, the drawings were translated into large-format installations with selected gold elements, accompanied by framed works across the floors. The project required detail that could reward close viewing while remaining visually strong from a distance.
