A MURAL WITH CINEMATIC ENERGY

An immersive artwork built for a distinctive hospitality space

The Hattori Hanzo mural was created as a visual anchor for the bar—an artwork designed to shape the atmosphere of the room rather than sit quietly within it.

Bold drawing, layered figures and graphic rhythm bring a sense of movement to the wall. The composition responds to the venue’s identity while retaining the hand-made character and narrative detail central to my mural practice.

ART AS PART OF THE EXPERIENCE

Designed around the way people move through the venue

The scale, sightlines and lighting of the bar informed the composition. From across the room the mural reads as a strong graphic statement; at close range, smaller details and shifts in mark-making reward a longer look.

A WALL CAN BECOME THE MEMORY OF A PLACE.
